Great Tournament, with a lot of very competitive matches. What a great way to kick off the season. A great mix of 6A, 5A, prep and one out of state team Airline, LA.
Melissa and Azle looked good and took 5th and 4th respectively without a full line-up. Airline took 3rd and was very strong in the consolation round.
But Arlington Martin and College Park put on a battle for 1st with AM putting nine in the finals to College Park’s seven, with four head-to-head matchup.
This came down to the very last match with Arlington Martin edge out College Park by only eight points. I am sure we will see a lot of these matchups again.
The 165 Championship match featuring #1 State/National #12-p4p National Angelo Ferrari (Melissa) was a work of art to watch.
