Klein Oak Boys win Gator Roll Invitational

The Gator Roll Invitational is hosted by Klein Oak high school and consists of almost every school in the Houston metro area including a mix of 5A and 6A competition. The home team wins the team race dominantly by a 60-point margin with Katy Morton Ranch taking 2nd place as a team.

Leon Jourden from Willis high school upset his way into the finals by taking out the #1 seed Paul Dorsey from Foster high school in the semi-finals to meet Bryley James from Klein Collins in the final. This final was a back-and-forth thriller where they put up a combined 37 total points! It ended with Jourden scoring the match-winning takedown and points near-fall to win the bout 19-18.

On the back side, Dorsey battled back to get a major decision for 3rd.

Carlos Gonzalez, a junior from Katy Paetow, dominated the 126lb bracket by teching and pinning all of his opponents. Jadon Magrini took 2nd place and Payton Phuong of Cypress Springs took 3rd place….
