OAKS, PA • Inside the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, the 14U Greco-Roman National Duals saw Team Texas Gold contend in Pool A, where they faced off against Louisiana, Minnesota Blue, and New York Gold before moving to the placement rounds. Ultimately, Texas Gold guaranteed themselves a 4th place finish after a series of intense duals in the Red/Blue pool.
In their first match, Texas Gold dominated Louisiana with a 62-17 victory. The match started strong with Hunter Lugo, Alex Lobdell, and Jaxon Kraemer securing points through forfeits and decisions. Significant performances included Sebastian Clark’s 8-0 technical fall and Declan Mohler’s fall at 0:51. Despite a few setbacks, including a fall at 250 pounds, Texas Gold maintained control throughout the match.
Their next challenge came in the semifinals against Minnesota Blue, where they faced a tough 63-17 defeat. Despite strong performances by Jaxon Kraemer and Fernando Jimeno, who both secured technical falls, Minnesota Blue proved formidable.
