How Texas Did Out of State

Update From the Out of State Teams who competed last weekend.

Allen Wrestling traveled to Reno Nevada to the Reno Tournament of Champions with both boys and a girls team.  Allen boys placed 7th last year and this year they placed 8th out of 95 teams competing.  The girls last year pulled out a 2nd place finish while this year they won the tournament out of 45 teams with just 5 girls wrestling.  4 of the girls all made the finals with 2 champions.  While the boys had 4 placers as well but no finalist.

132lbs Jair Jackson-Bey placed 8th

190lbs Aiden Cooley placed 4th

215lbs  Ryan Nichols placed 5th

285lbs Drake Madole placed 7th

100lbs Grace Romans placed 1st

132lbs Cheyene Kellison placed 2nd

165lbs Jasmine Robinson placed 2nd

235lbs Ester Peters place 1st

Allen will be at the Hall of Fame Duals 12/21-12/22 along with Arlington Martin in Stillwater Oklahoma.

The Kansas City Stampede in Kansas City Missouri had Canyon Randall and Klein High School both make the trip north.  Canyon Randall High School’s new comer state champ from Oregon, Riley Davis was the shining star here for Texas.  Davis made the finals at 175lbs and it took 6 periods for him to lose 2-1 to take 2nd place.  Randall had 2 other placers as well.  106lbs Mikey Ruiz took a 4th place finish, and Jaden Valdez took a 5thplace finish at 132.  Klein High Schools shining star was Timothy McGuire at 132lbs who lost in the round of 16 and fought back 5 more matches to take a 4th place finish.  The Randall girls team finished in 9th place out of 44 teams with 8 women and had their shining star as well with J’nessa Reynoso at 170lbs winning a championship. Emma Heaton placed 4th at 145 and Micaela Martinez placed 6th at 115lbs.  Klein had 5 girls make the trip and their shining star was Navidad Martinez taking a 3rd place finish at 105lbs.
