This year going into the UIL State Tournament Texas has 31 undefeated wrestlers from across the 4 classes competing this weekend for a state championship. Only 3 weights out of the group have 2 undefeated wrestlers that will match up so the best could be 29 wrestlers ending the season with a state championship undefeated. All the 5A girls could run the gauntlet with not weights having 2 undefeated wrestlers. The 6A girls at the 100lb weight Have the #1 and #2 ranked wrestlers in Jubilee Rendon of El Paso Franklin the returning state champ and Cassandra Medrano of Edinburg who placed 4^th last year. Both wrestlers are on the top side of the bracket so the true finals match could be in the semifinals. The girls class of 5A and 6A both have 9 undefeated wrestlers leading the undefeated way. The 5A boys have 6 weights with undefeated wrestlers and no match ups while 6A boys have 2 match ups out of the 7 undefeated wrestlers
