UIL District 8-6A Boys Recap

Aww, Yes the postseason is here.  It is time to see who the best of the best is.  It starts with Districts, then the top 4 go to Regionals, then the top 4 go to State.  Luckily for District 8-6A a top 4 finish only puts them in the Hardest Region in the State.  But if they can get past that State looks like a break, or so you think.  So let the madness begin, and let’s start with the Team Race.

1st Place-299.5 pts.

College Park-All 13 starters made the finals and 12-13 took 1st place.  #106 was the only weight they didn’t have a wrestler

2nd Place-169.5 pts.

Willis-10-14 will be headed to Allen for Regionals.  Top performers: Triston Rios 120 2nd, Ethan Elliott 138 2nd, Blake Messick 175 2nd and Hunter May 190 2nd

3rd Place-168.5 pts.

Conroe Caney Creek-6-12 made the cut and are headed to regionals. Top Dogs where: Diego Suarez 132 2nd, James Ochoa 144 2nd, Jaden MacKinnon 157 2nd, Daylin Manning 215 2nd and Moises Vega 285 2nd

Look out for that freight train.  Jackson came firing out off the opening whistle and steamrolled Quinn for the quick pin
