UIL District 8-6A Girls Recap

Here we go. The Ladies never disappoint. Top 4 move on, to region 2, maybe the toughest region in the state depending on your weight class. Some may have a harder time at regionals than at state. But it is all about making it to the Dance somehow some way. It’s time to punch your ticket. And make your dream come true. Let’s start with the team race.

1st Place

Conroe 171 pts.-Getting 10-12 to the next level. Conroe had 6 wrestlers in the finals. Tops performers where: Veronica Tuico 120 1st, Sasha Meza 185 1st, Townsend Vivian 107 2nd, Kendal Overstreet 114 2nd, Samara Burroughs 126 2nd, and Kaelyn Wallace 165 2nd.

2nd Place

Conroe Oak Ridge 162.5 pts.-Alright, 6-11 making the dance, with 6 wrestlers in the finals and 3 District champions. Taking top honors where: Kamya Williams 100 1st, Kayla Salmeron 132 1st, Brooklyn Lawrence 165 1st, Sorlac Gonzalez 120 2nd, Gloria Murillo 145 2nd, and Stephanie Flores 152 2nd.

3rd Place

Conroe Caney Creek 153 pts.-10-11 getting their cards punched. With 3 in the finals, and 2 District Champs. Here are their top performers. Rubi Gonzalez 114 1st, Emma LaCount 145 1st, Netalia Soto 185 2nd, Emily Shipula 100 3rd, Miaham Jimenez 107 3rd, and Isabel Trujillo 126 3rd
