Olivia Mottley, Houston Cypress Ranch Senior, ranked No. 10 @ 122 Nationally, committed to Life University this past Sunday at Senior Nationals & Olympic Trial Qualifier in Ft Worth Tx.
Life University is in Marietta, GA a superb of Atlanta known for Chiropractic Studies where Mottley will major and minor in sports nutrition. Coaches first met Mottley at Women’s inaugural Super 32 in 2017. Coached by her older brother Jourdan, who also wrestled for Cy Ranch, Mottley placed 5th in her first freestyle tournament and caught the attention of Life coaches. Mottley later went on to place 4th at Super 32 in 2018 and 2019. She is the only Texas girl to have wrestled and placed in Super 32 both years since women were added in 2017.
Mottley set the single season most wins in UIL history for women of all weight classes @ 60 beating the previous record of 59. She is also a Fargo All American, Folkstyle All American and placed 3rd & 5th in State.
Mottley’s mother said Olivia started her school athletic career as a cheerleader for the Eagles in elementary school and now has come full circle verbally committing to wrestle for Life University’s Running Eagles.
