Day 1 in Reno Nevada at the Reno Tournament of Champions the high school boys kicked off the tournament and Allen High School was in 1st place at the end of the day with 139 points, with 5 in the quarter finals and 4 in the consolation rounds with 2 more matches to medal and place. Other teams like St John Bosco California had 9 in the quarter finals with 3 on the consolation side currently in 5th place with 118 points.  Gilroy High School another California school had 7 in the quarter finals and 3 on the consolation side with 122.5 points in 4th place.  Sunnyside High School in Tucson Arizona had 6 in the quarter finals with 4 in the consolations in 3rdplace with 129.5 points.  2nd place Layton High School from Layton Utah only had 3 in the quarter finals with 8 in the consolations.
