New season, new set of rankings. WrestlingTexas dives into the top 20 at each weight class and rank over 100+ teams based off these individual ranking placement to deter a tournament team ranking.
First off the team rankings. These are tournament style team rankings. Dual head-to-head results do not go into any calculations for these team rankings. They are based purely off the individual rankings from the following:
- Individual Rank #1 = 18 team points
- Individual Rank #2 = 14 team points
- Individual Rank #3 = 10 team points
- Individual Rank #4 = 7 team points
- Individual Rank #5 = 2 team points
- Individual Rank #6 = 2 team points
We have found this is the best way to keep team rankings consistent and to best simulate a state tournament format.
