Greco Roman started today with the junior boy’s tournament going first. The junior boys started with 39 wrestlers and 13 made it to day 2. 113-William Yoshida, 144-Tyler Yancy, 157-Daniel Acosta, 165 Jared Remington, and 285-KeShawn Jones are all 5 on the championship side.
The junior boys had 6 overall less wrestlers then freestyle with the Remington brothers dropping down a weight along with Fernando Morales, which so far proves to be a good deal as they are all still alive in the tournament.
Grant Bahnsen does have the 3rd fastest fall in Junior Greco at 13 seconds.
The 16U boys started the day with only 29 wrestlers, that’s 25 wrestlers less than the freestyle tournament.
Jax Zamarripa in the round of 16 is the only 16U wrestlers still on the championship side with 4 others making it to day 2.
