Will there be a new team champion crowned? How many undefeated champions will there be this year? Seven weight classes have at least one wrestler with an unblemished record after two rounds of postseason wrestling.
The team title hunt will see some usual names in the mix. Allen has won four straight 6A titles, including sharing the crown in 2023 with El Paso Eastwood.
Those two, along with Katy and The Woodlands College Park are a good bet to in the hunt too.
College Park beat Allen, 42-27, in the State Duals on Jan. 19 in Wichita Falls.
Last yearās top three at state were Allen, College Park and Arlington James Martin. The latter two combined for 123 points ā while Allen had 123.
The field is also deep with six defending Class 6A champions back ā and a 5A champ that transferred to a new school. There are also six in the field who were in a state final last year and finished second in either 6A or 5A.
We break down each of the 12 weight classes.
