Parker Decker was our lone 60kg Texan Greco Roman Cadet Champion at the UWW Cadet and U23 Greco Roman National Championships where the champions of each weight must win the best of 3 to earn their berth to the USA World Team. Decker has been close before losing in the best of 3 finals 2 years ago and to my knowledge is the only Texas wrestler to make a Greco Roman World Team as a Cadet.
Chase Warden placed 4th at 65kg when he should had 3rd place, with 2 seconds left in the match Warden went up 5-4 then their was a challenged and he lost 8-5. Darwin Hull also placed 6th at the 80kg and brother Preston Decker at 65kg got a 7th place finish. Preston Decker was one match away from meeting Chase Warden in the Consolation Semi finals. The rest of the competing wrestlers went 0-2.

In the U23 Greco Roman Tournament. Texas had 4 placers. Nathan Rankin placed 7th at 60kg as well as team mate Jerhett Lee at 130kg placed 7th. Keaton Fanning placed 8th and Zachary Grimes place 7th @ 77kg. Notable at this group was at the 72kg where 2 Texas wrestlers met up in the match to make the blood round Jordan Robison and Timmy Johnson-Thompson. Johnson-Thompson won that battle but lost himself in the blood round. Job Ayala went 2-2 while the others went 0-2. And Zachary Grimes defeated Braedan Redlin in the blood round to place 7th.
