The 2025 NCWA National Championships are currently taking place at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana, from March 13 to 15. This prestigious event brings together collegiate wrestlers from across the country, competing for individual and team titles. Texas has a strong presence at the tournament, with several universities sending top athletes to represent their schools and compete at the highest level.
All the Texas schools at the competition belong to the NCWA Southwest Conference, one of the most competitive regions in the association. The Southwest Conference has a history of producing top-tier wrestlers, and this year’s championship is no exception. With wrestlers from Tarleton State University, Texas A&M University, the University of North Texas, Texas State University, the University of Houston-Downtown, Sam Houston State University, and the University of Texas, Texas wrestling is well-represented and looking to make a significant impact on the national stage.
Tarleton State University has a large presence at the tournament. Competing in the 125-pound division are Kevin Contreras and Noah Clayton. In the 133-pound weight class, Aiden Medina and Jonathan Kazienke are set to wrestle.
Anthony Dicks and Zachery Espalin are competing in the 141-pound category. Caleb Juarez and Zachery Casias are wrestling in the 149-pound division.
Representing Tarleton in the 157-pound category are Nicholas Egbalic and Lane Synder.
