Week 6/7

This week we have a lot of traveling teams before the Christmas break.  This is the last big push to drop weight to get the growth allowance.  As for Texas tournaments this is the calm before the storm as the New Year brings several huge tournaments the first weekend of the New Year.  A lot of dual tournaments this week as well.

Kansas City Stampede going down this weekend at the Hale Arena in Kansas City Missouri has 76 boys’ teams from around the country and 65 girls teams.  The boys will have Canyon Randall, College Park, Klein, Melissa, and Rockwall high schools and the girls will have Canyon Randall, College Park, Flower Mound, and Rockwall.

The girls will start their tournament off on Thursday and finish up on Friday while the boys will start Friday at 1:30pm and conclude on Saturday. 

Reno Tournament of Champions in Reno Nevada is one of the largest tournaments on the west side of the states with over 100 boys’ teams and over 50 girls teams.  Allen High School will be the only Texas team making the trip this year.  They have always been a top 5 placer. 

Bring the Hammer happening in Cabot Arkansas has Azle, Grapevine, and Rockwall Heath bringing both boys and girls teams.

2025 Eastwood Scramble happening at Eastwood high school in El Paso.  This tournament is 23 team boys and girl’s tournament with all area El Paso teams and a couple from across the border.

Eagles Nest going down at Prosper High School in Prosper a North Texas, DFW school. 
this tournament is a 29-team tournament and will have some top ranked wrestlers in the house competing.

Katy ISD Duals happening at the Leonard E. Merrell Center will have all 10 Katy ISD school both boys and girls competing in a dual setting.

Coronado Duals going down at Coronado High School in El Paso has 8 local teams of boys and girls.

Hill Country Invitational at Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park will have 24 teams from the local Austin area.

Doc Hess Invitational at the Legends Event Center in Bryan Tx.  This is the largest tournament of the week with 52 teams are from the surrounding areas of Houston.  All teams of boys and girls. 7 teams will be having a dual on the Friday before.

Charger Challenge happening at Charger Way in Fulshear TX a Houston suburb will have 10 teams from the area.

Rumble in the Jungle at the Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi is a 17-team tournament of boys and girls with a couple of San Antonio and Austin area schools driving to the coast.

12th Annual Takedown Alzheimer’s Classic at Keller is a very small tournament in the DFW area with 5 teams.  Southlake Carroll shows to be there, both boys and girls.

Wylie Invitational at Wylie High School is a 21-team tournament with all local DFW teams and Moore Oklahoma making the trip down.  Both boys and girls here as well

3rd Annual Lisa Torres Invitational at Sharyland High School in Mission TX is a 34-team tournament of all the southern schools of boys and girls.

2025 Birdville Bash at Birdville High School in North Richland Hills a DFW school.  This is a 20-team tournament of local teams; it does show a Colorado team making the trip down.

Ms Claus & Santa Slam at Coppell High School in DFW.  23 teams from the DFW area plus Seneca Missouri and Putnam Oklahoma make the trip down along with Houston Westside coming up.  Both boys and girls competing here.

Reindeer Roundup at MacArthur High School in San Antonio is a good size tournament with 27 teams registered.  Mostly all the San Antonio teams of boys and girls.  Other teams traveling like Uvalde, McAllen Memorial, and Harker Heights
