Week 5—-12/12/25
Lots of big tournaments this weekend. #1 Allen boys travel to the Ironman. While the #1-5A boys Melissa will be idle this weekend before traveling to the Kansas City Stampede next weekend. The #1-6A girls El Paso Eastwood and #1-5A Georgetown girls will be at the Texas Womens Classic.
Texas has 19 tournaments or large duals listed, while we have 5 out of state tournaments listed. The Houston Duals also go on this weekend as well but no listing to keep up. Was told Katy Jordan High School is hosting.
Out of State Tournaments
Mid-America Nationals happening at Enid Oklahoma. Like the name says this tournament is in Mid-America, north of Oklahoma City almost to Kansas. The Texas teams attending are Southlake, Arlington Martin, Liberty Christian, and Houston Westside registered to compete at this 38-team tournament of boys only.
Ironman 2025. One of the toughest national tournaments in the USA, with 143 teams attending at the Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. The Allen boys will send a team, hopefully a full team to compete with over 25 other top 50 teams in the country. Depending on whose ranking board you look at. Allen has Oliver Pulliam ranked at #18 @113lbs, and Aidan Cooley #13@215. Canyon Randall only shows one wrestler making the trip and one would assume that its Mikey Ruiz who is nationally ranked at #13@126lbs.

58th Las Cruces Harrison Invite right on the other side of the border in New Mexico next to El Paso 14 of the 43 teams are from the El Paso area. This is a boys tournament.
New Kirk Duals happening in New Kirk Oklahoma will have to boy teams making the trip from Texas, 5A Dumas and 6A Richardson in this 16 team dual event, boys only.
5th Annual Wrestle Like a Girl Cache Invitational in Cache Oklahoma, near Lawton is almost as big as the Texas Womens Classic with 58 teams registered with 7 of those from Texas. Amarillo Caprock, Azle, Borger, Canyon West Plains, Dumas, Henrietta, and Lubbock Cooper,
Texas Tournaments
Texas Womens Classic at Lewisville High School the largest womens only tournament in Texas with 69 teams registered to complete. We will have a tournament preview for this tournament. Each bracket will be filled with top 10 ranked women wrestlers.
FISD Men’s District Duals at Frisco Memorial High School in DFW will have all 12 of the district 8 teams dueling it out on this Wednesday.
Iron Tiger Classic in Dripping Springs High School appears to be a girls tournament with about 14 teams and a boys dual with only 2 teams listed.
Tomas Garces Invitational at Bobby Lackey Stadium in Weslaco. Is a 20 team of all the souther high schools with a mixture of 5A and 6A, both boys and girls.
Jaguar Invitational at Flower Mound High School is a small 7 team tournament.
Raiders Invitational at Wylie East High School in DFW. Is a small 12 team tournament of boys only. All local area teams
Tiger Duals at A&M Consolidated High School in College Station is a small 5 team dual.
Conroe Duals at Conroe High School in the Houston area. Is a 10 team dual on Saturday only. Houston Schools only showing on the list.
Pin-a-Palooza at Cedar Park High School in Cedar Park (Austin suberb) is a 28 team tournament with local area teams, but a lot of the valley teams are making the trip North along with Anna from DFW traveling south. A few of the coastal teams making it over. This is a boys and girls tournament.
FWISD championships at Wilkerson-Greines Activities Center in Ft Worth. Is 22 teams all fro the Ft Worth side of the DFW metroplex except 3 Dallas teams and 2 Frisco teams.
2025 Woodlands Invite at the Woodlands High School in Houston. This is a 19 team tournament of boys and girls with all the schools from the Houston area.
Ultimate Warrior Duals at Pieper High School in San Antonio. Will be a small 4 team dual and all 4 teams are 5A with Azle showing to be on the list, Azle is on a couple lists so we will see where they end up.
St Marks’s Lonestar Christmas Tournament is 22 team boys only tournament at St Marks School of Texas in Dallas. This is an odd mix and could be a battle with prep schools from Louisiana, Florida, and Oklahoma. Along with DFW prep and high schools.
EMS-ISD Tournament happening at Eagle Mountain High School in Ft Worth. This is a small 10 team tournament with Amarillo High School showing on the list.
Russ Pederson Invitational at Johnson High School in San Antonio will; be a 37 team tournament of boys and girls with almost every San Antonio High School on the list. Edinburg brings all 3 high schools up from the south and Dallas Jesuit College Prep makes the trip south.
Knockout Lonestar Classic going down at Grand Prairie High School in DFW will be a 34 team battle of boys and girls. This tournament will have all DFW local teams
53rd Paul Aubrey Christmas Tournament at RL Turner High School in Carrollton, at DFW 5A school. This is a 30 team tournament of boys only, with Dumas traveling down from the panhandle.
2nd Annual Patriot Smack Down at Veterans Memorial High School in Mission Texas way down south. This is a 20 team tournament of all the southern schools, both boy and girl teams.
2025 Marlene Avila Invitational at Fabens High School in the El Paso area. This is a small 9 team tournament with local teams from the area.
