2026 US Open in Las Vegas is a wrap. Texas with over 124 registered wrestlers had 21 placers in the top 8 with 4 finalists only managing to get 1 champion in Tristan Ulloa in the U15 Greco Roman. Ulloa was also named MOW for the U15 Greco Roman tournament. 2 other finalists were in Senior Women with Erin Golston and Jasmine Robinson, and in the Girls Showcase with Landri Von Gonten.

6A state champ and 3 place finisher this year Lucy Clarno of Dripping Spring HS, beat 2x state champ from 5A Melissa, Malia Griffin.
In a huge bracket, Mason Milsaps beats Oliver Pulliman, then loses by criteria in the round of 16, then makes it to the blood round before his final loss, one match of placing.
92kg Cody Savage in U17 made the semifinals but lost 2 in a row to go for 5th place, Same with 92kg in U20 Karson Tompkins following the same path. Savage takes a 5th place finish while Tompkins settles for 6th place.
Izayiah Chavez lost in the round of 16 by criteria, battles back 5 matches to meet the same wrestler in the consolation semifinals. This time Chavez wins 7-5 to go for 3rd place but settles for 4th place.
Aidan Cooley at 97kg in U20 Freestyle was the #1 seed and got beat in the quarter finals but got a rematch in the 5th place match with the same wrestler but didn’t get a chance to wrestle has it was a medical forfeit which gives Cooley 5th place to match his U20 Greco Roman performance.
