Forty-one teams attended the 2023 Rumble at the Rock hosted by Rockwall High School, a mixture of 5A, 6A, and Prep schools. 450+ Total wrestlers competed, with 87 ranked and 43 of those in the top 5. The 165lb bracket was the most stacked, having ten ranked wrestlers including the #1 ranked wrestlers from 5A, 6A, and Prep.
Arlington Martin came out on top by over sixty points with ten placers, three of which were champions. Ryan Rainey led the way for them with 35 total team points and four pins.
A few more standouts are Noah Thorsen of Melissa who finishes with four pins and a tech fall, and in the heavyweight division, Isaiah Ortiz pins his way through. The #1 ranked wrestler in the state and country, Angelo Ferrari of Melissa walks through the 165lb bracket.
This tournament proved to be one of the best tournaments we will see this year and gives wrestlers a great indication of their status against state competition.

The smallest bracket in the tournament with 23 guys. Chali Perkison makes his way to the finals by decision to defeat #7-6A Jack Roland who pinned his way up to that point where he would fall to a 4-2 decision. Bartlett of Lake Travis wins bronze over #10-6A Aranda which should give him a number in the next set of rankings
