Katy Morton Ranch HS is hosting its annual Maverick Stampede wrestling tournament this Friday and Saturday. A mix of ranked 5A and 6A teams from around the state will be attending.
The highly anticipated finals’ matchups are at 115 lbs. with #1 Nevada Daniels vs #2 Stephanie Lopez, at 120 lbs.; at 120 lbs. where a rematch of the Cy Ridge Classic finals between #1 5A State champ, Genevieve Bellino and #9 6A Aviana Caceres, where Bellino decisioned Caceres 7-6. Lopez will have to beat #8 Priscilla Guerrero to reach the finals; and at 190 lbs., #1 ranked Asaiya Golphin with #2 Jaida Kuntz.
