The semifinals have completed and here are our 6A finalists. Lots of #1 seeds and #1 ranked wrestlers, but also plenty of upset contenders who could make a big impact.
100 lbs.
Senior Jubilee Rendon (54-1) the Region1 champ of El Paso Franklin will take on Sophomore Katelynn Dockery (34-1) the Region 2 champ from Bryan. Rendon a 3X state placer (2nd in ’25, 3rd in’ 24, and 1st in ’23, pinned Kaelani Palmer of Richmond Foster, and Dockery pinned Region 3 Champ, Natalie Roberson.

105 lbs.
Emily Beltran (48-0) of Katy will take her three pins and last year’s state gold medal at 107 to the finals to bang heads with Brynlee Mooney (40-6), the 9th grade Region 3 champ from The Woodlands.
110 lbs.
Hailey Delgado (50-0) of El Paso Eastwood, last year’s 100 lb. champ will wrestle Alia Baker (42-3) of Klein Cain.

Delgado is currently ranked as the U.S. 3rd best wrestler at 105 lbs. by FLOWrestling.

Baker comes in as the Region 2 Champion, and is ranked #3 in Texas.
115 lbs.
Nevada Daniels (50-0) of Cinco Ranch matches up with District and Region foe, Stephanie Lopez (45-6) of Katy Mayde Creek. Lopez has yet to defeat Daniels this year, but is getting close. Lopez came from the 10th seed and defeated the number two and three seeds to get to the finals.

120 lbs.
Mila Juarez (30-1) of San Marcos, the Region 4 champion, is matched with Grace Romans (36-4) of Allen. Romans is the Region 2 champ and 3X state placer.

125 lbs.
Kayla Dunn (45-5) of Cy Park gave Dripping Springs, Lucy Clarno her first loss of the year in the semis for the opportunity to wrestle Riley Drennan (26-1) of McKinney in the finals. Both finalists are Regional champions.

130 lbs.
Camille Rainey (31-3) the Region 1 champ from Arlington Martin will face-off with Avery Fitzgerald (44-6) of Rockwall. Rainey is last year’s 138 lb. champion. Rainey has two victories over Fitzgerald this year.

135 lbs.
One of the matches that many have been waiting for is the rematch between Landri VonGonten of College Park and Kailin Sebert of Allen Von Gonten owns a few wins over Sebert this year. And as they say, “To be the Best, You must Beat the Best” so Von Gonten came down a weight class to prove a point.

140 lbs.
Marli Denmark (43-3) of Northwest Nelson will see Madison Fitzgerald of Rockwall (41-7) in the last match of the 140 lb. bracket. Denmark is the #1 ranked wrestler and Fitzgerald is ranked #3. I do not believe they have squared off with each other this year, but Denmark did defeat Adalyn Robinson in the Semis, who had defeated Fitzgerald 2 or 3 times this season.
145 lbs.
Zamariya Williams (36-4) of Rockwell Heath, is the Region 2 champion. She will take on Zoe Sonnier (47-8) of Bryan. Both girls placed in last season’s championships; Williams was 5th at 165 lbs. and Sonnier was 6th at 138 lbs. This match will be the first between these young ladies.

155 lbs.
Claire Guydon of the Woodlands (48-2) will face challenger Leona Layne of Rockwall (47-3). They last faced each other in the Region 2 finals where Guydon won by fall, but the score was 13-12 in Layne’s favor just before the pin. Guydon is the #1 ranked wrestler at 155 lbs., and Layne is #2.

170 lbs.
Aisha Williams Bautista (63-1) the Region 1 champion from Flower Mound is the prohibitive favorite as she faces Victoria Brown (24-1) of Lancaster. Williams Bautista earned a first period pin against Williams last weekend in the finals at Region 1. Williams Bautista is the #1 ranked wrestler in this weight class in Texas.
190 lbs.
Asaiya Golphin (27-1) of Cibolo Steele, who is the Region 4 Champ, will match-up with Wema Laktari (53-0) of Flower Mound, the Region 1 champ. This will be the first match between these two high-performing wrestlers. Golphin has a 3rd and 4th place State finish the last two years at 185 lbs. Laktari is the higher ranked of the two wrestlers holding the #1 to Golphin’s #5

235 lbs.
Isis Kouokam (44-2) the Region 3 champ hailing from Richmond Foster has pinned her way into the finals to face the Region 4 champ, Saniah Ebron (37-2) of Killeen Harker Heights. Kouokam is ranked #3 and Ebron is ranked #2.
