Over 100 teams will participate in the 22nd Annual CFISD Tournament.
Boys lower weight classes from 106lbs to 144lbs will be previewed in part 1 of 4 parts.
The tournament will feature wrestlers from Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana.
Wrestlers have the opportunity to compete against tough competition and prepare for the state tournament.
Phlox Photography will be on site to capture all the action.

Boys Lower Weight Preview

Its that time of year again where over 100 teams head to Houston to the Berry Center on January 3^rd & 4^th 2025 for the 22^nd Annual CFISD Tournament the largest folkstyle tournament of the year will happen. 101 teams total, 59-6A teams have top 20 ranked wrestlers, 17-5A teams have top 20 ranked wrestlers, 5 out of state teams, 4 from Louisiana and 1 from Colorado. Douglas County High School from Colorado, East Ascension, Sam Houston, Sulphur, and Westlake Hills High Schools from Louisiana. With 172 top 20 ranked wrestlers from Texas total, 130 from 6A and 42 from 5A not counting the out of state wrestlers.

This tournament is so big we got to break it down into 4 previews. Although some weights dont have many state qualifiers, make no doubt about it wrestling in bracket with 75-100 wrestlers is no cake walk. This tournament gives wrestlers from all over the state a chance to check out competition and wrestle in the state tournament arena. Also remember that the 2-pound allowance will be in affect so some of this wrestlers maybe at a lower weight for this tournament.
