Week 2 & Thanksgiving Break

Week 2 should show more of the top ranked wrestlers as more of the top ranked teams go up against each other in tournaments this weekend and over the Holiday break.  Interesting fact is that a couple of the Prep Teams have a 12-woman roster according to trackwrestling showing that women’s wrestling is growing on the Prep side as well.  The Thanksgiving week will have a handful of tournaments around the state except none showing in the El Paso or DFW area.  Houston, down south, and panhandle will have Holiday wrestling.

Below we give the breakdown.

Martin Invitational held at Arlington Martin High School will feature 3 of the top teams in the state. This 32 team of both boys and girls will have Arlington Martin and College Park, the #2 and #3 teams of 6A and the #1 team of 5A in Melissa. This tournament will also have more than a hand full of the #1 wrestlers in the state like Angelo Ferrari, Karson Tompkins, and Caio Aron, that’s just on the boy’s side. 6 Prep schools will be competing as well. The Amarillo Caprock boys and girls make the trip down from the panhandle…
