Week 11 Tournaments to Catch

With the season over the half way mark and most everyone is dropping in weight with the weight allowance we have different match ups as every team, wrestler tries to find their spot. This week the Trojan Classic is the tournament to be in as it has all the heavy hitters in boys and girls with more variety from around the state.

Don’t forget to go support the Tarleton State Wrestling Clinic being put on by Coach Grant Leeth. Even if you can’t go they are still raising money to get into the D1. This will be happening at the Legends Event Center on Friday Jan. 12th from 6-8pm where the Texas Youth Nationals will be going down in Bryan Texas. Sign-ups are on trackwrestling.

Bobby Lyons-Sand Springs High held at Charles Page High School in sand Springs Oklahoma is where top ranked Allen and Rockwall High Schools will be along with Prosper and Southlake Carroll making their annual trip north of the red river. This boy only tournament will feature the top 6A and 5A ranked Oklahoma teams like Bixby, Sand Springs, and Ponca City High Schools. Greg Henning Invitational at Tuttle High School in Tuttle Oklahoma. Dumas will have both boys and girls competing there against some of the top Oklahoma schools.

Flowing Wells Invitational at Flowing Wells High School in Tucson Arizona is where El Paso Eastwood boys will be competing at this 45 team tournament.  

Trojan Classic going down at Euless Trinity High School in central DFW metroplex will feature 61 girls teams along with 61 boys teams. This tournament isn’t as big as CFISD but has more ranked wrestlers with a mix of 5A and 6A class wrestlers. The #1-6A Allen and #2-6A Arlington Martin girls teams will be here along with 7 El Paso teams and 4 Lubbock teams including the #1 ranked 5A Lubbock Cooper girls…
