The Beach Wrestling World Series brings the sport to stunning beaches and iconic landmarks, offering an up-close experience for spectators and fans. It provides the world’s top athletes a unique opportunity to showcase their skills and the traditional sport in an exciting outdoor setting. In line with its Constitution, United World Wrestling officially recognizes Beach Wrestling as an integral part of the sport across all its styles.
Ruben – Men’s 70kg
Ruben Calderon competed in the 70kg men’s weight class at the 2024 UWW World Championships in Croatia, delivering an impressive performance. He dominated his first-round match, defeating a Croatian wrestler in just 27 seconds. Ruben continued to compete fiercely but narrowly lost his next two matches to wrestlers from the USA and Germany, missing the podium by only 1-2 points in each bout.
