TyRae Carter 2x National NCWA Champion

With the only wrestling in the country going on at the NCWA National Championships in Allen.  College teams of boys and girls from all corners of the United States showed up to compete in the NCWA Nationals.
TyRae Carter a Houston Westside state champ and a returning NCWA National Champ and a 3x finalist for Texas A&M University all against the same opponent Zach Blevins of the University of Toledo prevailed for a 2nd straight year as Champion.  Carter undefeated on the season  scores the first points with an ankle pick takedown in the 1st period but gives up the immediate escape to Blevins.  Carter gets another point for Blevins stalling and with 10 seconds left Carter gets another takedown with a duck under to end the first period up 5-1.  Blevins gets his 2nd check for a concussion and with that check forfeits on a medical giving Carter his 2nd National Championship.

Blevins won their first meeting in 2018 in a 10-4 decision, last year Carter won by a 11-3 Major Decision.

Schreiner University had 2 All Americans with Cody Cabanban @ 125 claiming a National Championship with a 15-10 victory giving Schreiner University its first NCWA National Champ, and Collin Riley @ 285 placing 7th.

Texas University had Enrique Munguia make All American with a 7th place finish @ 133lb.
