Two Schreiner University Women To Compete At National Collegiate Women`s Wrestling Championship

Schreiner University, which sits about an hour outside of San Antonio in Kerrville, Texas has quickly built their profile as a college wrestling program. American Women’s Wrestling recently did a breakdown of their rise since their inauguration in 2018.

On the women’s side they’ve won an NCWA National Title and crowned four WCWA All-Americans and two WCWC/NCAA All-Americans.

They’ll look to add to that list this weekend at the National Collegiate Women`s Wrestling Championship. The Mountaineers had two finalists at the Southwest Regional with Alina Kinsey and Jordan Johnston. Kinsey is a recent transfer and Johnston missed last season with an injury. Both finished second at their regional and will look to become All-American’s for the first time here. Kinsey will be wrestling at 116 and Johnston at 143.

The tournament takes place this Saturday in Tiffin, Ohio and will be streamed on Trackwrestling.
