Trent Dooley of Allen is Wrestlingtexas Wrestler of the Week. Dooley ranked #1 @145 in Texas traveled to the Walsh Jesuit Ironman Wrestling Tournament last weekend un ranked on the national scene and wrestled at his new weight of 138. Dooley was a 15 seed in the tournament and although he lost to the #9 ranked wrestler in the quarter finals by a 3-2 decision, he defeated the #19 and the #8 nationally ranked wrestlers before losing a 5-2 decision to the #7 ranked wrestler to take a fourth place finish at the toughest folk style tournament of the year.
Dooley also gets mentioned on the national scene as A Big Riser. needless to say Dooley will add another Texas Wrestler to the national rankings.
Dooley has also signed and will wrestle for the new D1 College Wrestling program at the University of Arkansas next season.
