The Toughest Girls Regions/Districts in the State

In the Girls Divisions Region 1 was the clearly the toughest region in both classes,  The 6A girls Region 1 had the most state champs and overall state placers with 23 out of 60.  Region 2 came in 2nd with 17 wrestlers, Region 3 got 14 placers and region 4 had only 6 with no state champs.  District 2 looked to be the toughest with 12 placers total and district 8 was the next highest Total at 9.  The District 2 was a mixture of the Keller, Northwest, and Weatherford schools.  District 8 is the Klein and Conroe Woodlands schools.  Region 4 didn’t have a state champ this year and Region 3 only had 1 with the other 9 champs coming from Region 1 & 2.

The 5A girls Region 1 was the toughest here as well but the other Regions were pretty well balanced with only 1-2 wrestler difference per Region.  Not 1 District had double digit placers and each Region had a state placer from every district which one could argue which class is truly the toughest between the 6A & 5A women.  region 4 with the lowest total of state placers had the most state champs with 3.  Region 1 schools are all the El Paso and Panhandle Teams with Lubbock area mixed in.
