Texas Wrestling Update

With all the cancelations of wrestling seasons around the USA including some of the events with USA Wrestling. It has been confirmed with Texas USA Wrestling President Charlie Strange per their latest meeting that since there aren’t any tournaments or teams traveling for another 2 weeks nothing has been cancelled or put on hold.   They want and will use that time to watch the situation and will be meeting again next Wednesday to reevaluate the situation.

Meanwhile most all the schools in the state of Texas have extended their spring breaks for an additional week for the students but in some cases as in Frisco the teachers still have to report back to work following the end of their spring break.

On another note with the NCAA cancelling all championship sports its unclear if there will be a make up, or another year of eligibility for all student athletes.  A lot of the Texas Colleges have also extended their spring break till April 6th.
