With the UIL Wrestling Season Officially starting off this week, below is a list of tournaments found for the upcoming weekend. Wrestling Texas will be attending the Cy Ridge (Friday only), Cinco Ranch Big 12 Invitational and Martin Warrior tournaments along with keeping up with the details from all the others. If your tournament isn’t listed below or isn’t on track wrestling than please get us results and submit to [email protected] it’s as easy as coping the results to a flash drive and emailing, most tournament directors will give to you if you tell them it’s for wrestlingtexas.
16th Annual Cy Ridge Classic (Varsity Boys and Girls).
27 boys teams with 1 Louisiana team mostly 6A Houston Teams. 25 girls teams.
Knights Invitational (Varsity Boys and Girls with JV Boys) League City.
A 9 team mixture of 5A and 6A boys from central Texas.
Lone Star Arm Bar Invitational (Girls) League City.
14 girls teams battle here, from Corpus Christi and Houston area.
Volunteer Invitational (Varsity Boys and Girls) San Antonio.
26 boys teams mainly San Antonio area with Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. Girls have 26 teams as well, one of the largest girls tournaments of the weekend.
3rd Annual Panther Invitational (Varsity Boys and Girls) Houston.
14 Houston 5A schools registered for this tournament for boys and girls.
9th Annual Heath Invitational (Varsity Boys and Girls with JV Boys) Heath.
A mixture of 6A and 5A Teams all from the DFW Area. 16 teams each for boys and 14 for the girls.
Cinco Ranch Big 12 Invitational (Varsity Boys and Girls) Katy.
Like the tournament name, only 12 teams here with Louisiana powerhouse Brother Martin visiting area Houston Schools.
Martin Warrior Invitational (Varsity Boys and Girls) Arlington.
This tournament will feature 5 of the top 10 ranked tournament teams in the State with Arlington Martin, El Paso Franklin, Southlake Carroll, El Paso Eastwood and Flowermound, along with a couple of the top ranked Prep Teams. Not the biggest tournament of the weekend but appears to be the toughest based on number of ranked wrestlers.
Richardson Roundup (Varsity Boys and Girls) Richardson.
A DFW tournament with a mixture of 5A and 6A boys and girls.
Warrior Classic (Varsity Boys and Girls) McAllen.
No teams listed for this tournament but one would assume that all the South Texas Schools who didn’t go to San Antonio will be at this tournament.
Pink Panther Classic (Varsity Boys and Girls) East Plano.
