Texas wrestlers excel at Tulsa Kickoff

On November 17 youth wrestlers representing all 5 Texas regions traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the World of Wrestling Tulsa Kickoff tournament, the first jewel in the prestigious Trinity award. World of Wrestling proclaims “Our events have been called many names such as The Granddaddy of Them All, The Real National Championships, The Superbowl of Wrestling, The Largest Jr. Event in the World, and the Toughest Tournament in the World” https://worldofwrestling-roller.com/about/

Tulsa Kickoff entries ranged from 6U to 15U, there were 45 entries in the boys division and 8 in girls. Twenty two of our wrestlers made the podium–17 from the boys divisions and 5 from the girls divisions.

One Texas wrestler placed in both the boys and girls divisions– Kyleigh Danielson from Texas Elite. Of those who made the podium, eight placed top 3, bringing home the elusive and prestigious eagle trophy.

There was one Texas champion, Beau Russell from ReZults Wrestling. He won his 6U 49lb bracket making him an eligible contender for the Trinity award.
