Texas Outlaw Boys Lower Weight Preview

Texas Outlaw Preview Boys

The Texas Outlaw tournament although never the largest tournament has always been arguably the toughest tournament in Texas.  Teams loaded with state champs and placers from around Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma make the annual holiday trip to Allen.  Both boy and girl teams will be loaded with top ranked wrestlers and this year is no exception.  Along with the #1 team Allen, #3-6A College Park, #4 Austin Lake Travis, #7-6A Rockwall, #8-6A El Paso Franklin, and #9-6A Dripping Springs all top 10 6A teams.  No 5A top 10 teams in the mix but a lot of top 10 ranked wrestlers from 5A are in the mix.  6 of the weights have a #1 ranked wrestler and 9 weights have a #2 ranked wrestler.  The toughest weight class not counting what Louisiana and Oklahoma bring is the 126lbs weight with 2-#1’s and 2-#2 wrestlers one of each from each class.

Airline and North Desoto High Schools are from Louisiana, and Tecumseh, Moore, Carl Albert, and Norman North are the Oklahoma teams.  Note almost no teams from Oklahoma use track wrestling to input wins and losses so there can and will be a lot of surprises.
