Texas Mat Talk: Mario Vasquez

Coach Vasquez is the Head Men’s Wrestling Coach at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. Schriener is a NCAA Division 3 program looking to make a lot of noise this upcoming season.

Coach Vasquez is a graduate of Palo Duro High School where he won the  2016 State Champion @132lb  title. Mario finished the year undefeated at 46-0.  As a collegiate wrestler at the University of the Ozarks and Ferrum College.

During his time at the University of the Ozarks he became a 2-time Conference Finalist and competed in the Lower Midwest Region. At Ferrum College, he finished his career being a 4-time Conference Finalist, Southeast Regional Finalist, and received All-American Honors with an 8^th place finish at the NCAA National Championships in 2019.
