Team Texas Junior Girls are National Dual Team Champs

Team Texas 1- Champs

The Team Texas Women split into 2 dual teams and came out with Team 1 National Champs and Team 2 taking a 6th place finish.  The Team Texas 1 Girls rocked Oklahoma going undefeated 9 straight duals over the 2 day event knocking off Team Illinois in the finals to claim the 2018 USA Wrestling National Womens Junior Dual Championships. Texas 1 out scored their opponents 461-125.

Overall the Texas girls did Texas proud, was a great tune up for Fargo Nationals in 3 weeks.

Team Texas 2

Team Texas 2 made the final bracket but had to settle for 6th place,  goes to show how deep the talent is in womens wrestling in the state of Texas.

 

 

The coaches did an outstanding job as well as the wrestlers themselves.
