Texas took four teams to Dixie Minion duals. A 3rd and under team, a 4th-6th team , and two middle school teams, one developmental, and one that was in it to win it.
The Texas 3rd grade team wrestled for fourth place and had 3 wrestlers with one loss or less . Mason Milsaps went 5-0 at 45 pounds. Michael Scotello and TJ Jewell both had one loss , both wrestled up in weight at times. Michael competed at 55, 60, and 65lbs, his loss was a weight class up.
Mason Millsaps of Boneyard for the second consecutive dual is Co-OW with Michael Scotello of NB Elite for this year’s Minion Duals. Mason going 5–0 and Michael 5–1 (with a few extra exhibitions) in three different weight classes.
On the Texas 4th-6th team it was Joe Jeter of Best Trained crushing the tournament at 80lbs! Right next to him was Nate Andrews of Brazoria County Wrestling , who went 4-1 with a dominating performance. Also with strong tournaments and 3-2 records , Nicholas Dudzikowski(NB Elite) Jude Huebner( Mountaineer Wrestling), Logan Soileau(Boneyard).

Texas Red MS team was led by TC Maguire Who had a 3-2 record. This team was a developmental team and was loaded with young guys and many with not much experience. They also fell right into a shark pond from the very get-go , going up against the Minion Black team right out of the gate. These guys didn’t have a lot of success , but they all competed tough and got better each dual.

The Texas blue middle school team was built to compete for sure . They did have some close duals especially with Oklahoma’s Roller Team . That one literally came down to the last match, when Jacob Smith of Boneyard was losing a close match in the third. He then hits a nasty headlock to get the pin and the team win! Other dominating performances; Mario Danzi of Best trained had a barnburner going with a kid who had beat him previously from Georgia Minion Black . He was down by a point when he clearly reverses the kid on the mat and was holding him in danger for what should have been near fall. I believe everyone in the room saw it that way except for the official. Unfortunately it cost Mario a win and a perfect record. Nate and Joel Jesuroga of rockstar both had dominating performances as well going 4–1. Even our little kids enjoy sitting around the Mat watching these guys go , they just keep getting better.
Also 4-1 , Jacob Smith who helped seal the deal with Oklahoma, and of course Corey Camdon. Corey’s only loss came to a wrestler from Georgia Minion Black. We saw the kid wrestle a few matches before Corey got to him and he was good , really good. One of the best in the building for sure. We knew it would be a very tough match. Of course Corey went out there to break him, and gave him all he could handle in the process. It was a great match and Corey kept it close to the very end.
All that being said we could not decide on one OW for this team (Good problem to have). Every one of these guys are deserving for sure. Other big contributors with one or two losses, Noah Cairns of NB Elite , Austin Hartmangruber of Ohana, and Caleb Mata of Vici .
Texas Blue MS finished second in the tournament , and the team itself deserves a big OW .
Next stop for Texas will be Wildwood New Jersey.
