The Team Texas Cadets finished up the Greco Duals yesterday by going 2-1 in the Red Pool, going 3-3 over all. Giving up 4 weight classes keep Texas from finishing in the top 8. The Greco Cadet winner was Illinois and Team Kansas was 4th both was in Texas Pool A.
Texas had 4 guys go undefeated. 126-Donovan Fisher went 5-0, 138-Chase Warden went 5-0, 145-Micah Wiginton went 5-0, and at 182-Darwin Hull went 4-0. Hull had 3 tech falls and 1 fall not giving up any points. Wiginton had 3 falls, 1 tech fall, and 1 DQ not giving up any points as well. Warden had all 5 tech falls with no points given up. Fisher had 2 falls, 2 tech falls, and 1 decision of 17-8.
Freestyle starts today and Texas is in Pool C. Texas will have a bye the first round and will face the winner of Pennsylvania/Colorado 2. Others in the Pool are Oregon Blue, Idaho Red, and Iowa totally 6 teams in the pool.
