Team Texas Boys finish 1st in Green/Yellow Pool at Junior National Greco Duals

The Team Texas Boys finished up with the Greco National Duals today by beating Team Michigan in the Green/Yellow Pool finals today.

After losing the first 2 duals to Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Team Texas won the next 4 duals.  They had a close one against Georgia, then beat North Dakota, and North Carolina which led up to the barn burner with Michigan.  With Michigan it came down to the last match score tied at 29-29.  Brody Beckman came through for the team launching his guy for 4 points not once but twice to get the tech fall and the team win.

This years team was a young team with only 4 seniors and 5 brand new to Greco.  Daniel Manibog and Aiden Conner both went undefeated, Manibog went 6-0 only giving up 4 points tech falling, or pinning all his opponents, and Conner went 4-0.  Other great efforts by Jesse Diaz 5-1, Dominic Chavez 4-2, Jordan Haskins 4-2, Manny Elizondo, Deandre Rucker, and Brodey Beckman all went 3-3.

Daniel Manibog was the 2018 MOW for the Team Texas Greco National Dual Team plus made the All American Greco team.
