The 2025 National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) Women’s National Championships was one of the most thrilling and closely contested tournaments in recent history. The team title came down to the wire, with only one point separating the top three teams.
In an electrifying conclusion, Tarleton State University captured the national championship with 126 points, edging out Utah Tech University, which finished with 125.5 points, and Ottawa University – Arizona, which placed third with 125 points.
The outcome of the competition demonstrated how crucial every match, bonus-point victory, and even placement in consolation rounds were in determining the overall team standings.
Tarleton State’s success was built on strong performances across multiple weight classes, particularly in the lower weight divisions.
The highlight for Tarleton was Rachel Corley’s victory in the 110-pound championship, where she pinned her teammate Emma Graves in 1:51. Tarleton also saw multiple athletes finishing in third and fourth place, which helped secure the decisive points needed for the team title.
