At the end of a grueling day 2 for the Team Texas Junior Freestyle Team Luke Sloan and Daniel Manibog are the lone survivors. Sloan @ 138 in the blood round came back after being down 6-0 early in the first period and stormed back to a 20-9 tech fall over #18 Villarreal of Illinois to reach his AA status, but came up short in the consolations losing to the #12 ranked McCrary of Georgia 2-0 and will wrestle for 7th place tomorrow.
Daniel Manibog @ 152 made it to the semi finals where he couldn’t quite get control of the match with #18 John Martin Best and dropped to the consolation semi finals where he ran into #11 Chase Saldate of California. Manibog will be wrestling for 5th place against.
Chase Warden made it to the blood round but fell short 10-7 to M. Bryant of Ohio who is wrestling for 3rd place.
Sloan and Manibog will All American for Team Texas
