Rylan Bonds is Mortgage X-Change Wrestler of the Week. Bonds is the first ever 6A State Champion in wrestling at Prosper High School (only the 3rd State Champion in wrestling history at Prosper). Ā It should be noted that Rylan tore multiple ligaments in his knee in late November in a match against Kaleb Thompkins and had only returned to the mat the week before the district tournament.
Rylan, upon his return, finished the year 11-1 and only allowed 19 points in the 12 matches. Ā He beat 3 straight region winners in a row to win state. Ā His opponents at State finished the year with a combined Ā record of 171-19.
