Rachel Bridges Wrestler of the Week

Rachel Bridges from Keller Timber Creek is this weeks Wrestling Texas Athlete of the Week.

Rachel is fresh off of her Tournament win at the CFISD Invitational, the largest High School folkstyle tournament in Texas where she not only pinned her way to a Championship, she also received the Most Outstanding Wrestling Award in the girls Tournament.

Rachel is 13-0 on the season! She has won 1st at Texas Ladies Classic, 1st at TC Christmas Classic, 1st at Cy Fair.   In the last 2 years at Timber Creek Rachel is now 50-0 with 50 pins! She has only given up 2 points in the last 2 years from a slipped headlock at TLC which she quickly recovered from and pinned girl 12 seconds later. She is a 2X state champ & a 2 Time National Champ (Cadet Champ at Fargo in 2015 & Body Bar National Champ Last year) Rachel is also an A student.

According to Timber Creek Coach Roark, Rachel is  “one of the most humble and great kids I have ever coached. I don’t believe I will ever coach another kid like her! She is truly special.”
