HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
This Weekend actually starting on Thursday in Lubbock will kick off the new year. Not many tournaments this weekend but each tournament has a large number of teams participating.

The 18th Annual Cy Fair ISD Invitational @ the Berry Center in Cypress (Houston). This is undoubtably the largest folk style tournament in Texas and probably in the USA with over 200 teams for boys and girls competing in this 2 day event. Both 5A and 6A will clash here but no record of any Prep teams in the mix.
Texas Outlaw Tournament @ Allen High School in Allen (DFW). This isn’t the largest tournament but can be argued that it is the toughest tournament of the year. This is a boys only tournament with 34 teams from the 4 state area, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. 4 of the top Texas teams will be in the house with Allen, Katy, College Park and Vandegrift along with top 5 teams from Oklahoma in Deer Creek and Fort Gibson. South Plains Invitational @ Monterey High School Main Gym in Lubbock is a boys and girls tournament with all the local panhandle 5A teams with Tascosa in the mix. The girls have a couple New Mexico teams making the trip across the border.
The East Duals @ Plano East High School in Plano (DFW) is a 16 team dual format with all local teams from the DFW area.
The Grapevine Duals @ Grapevine High School in Grapevine (DFW). This shows a 28 team format with Arlington Martin in the house this year along with Olathe Kansas and Norman Oklahoma to name a few of the top teams. Justin Turner the old St Marks coach is bringing his Cabot Arkansas team as well. Edcouch -Elsa from the valley shows to be coming as well. The 5A and 6A Boys only teams will mix it up here.
Grapevine Invitational @ Grapevine High School in Grapevine (DFW) is the girls competing in a one day tournament with a bout 18 teams in attendance.
Knight Invitational @ Independence High School in Frisco (DFW) Girls only has 20 plus teams scheduled to compete. All local DFW teams here.
Dallas Girls NYE Showdown @ Molina High School in Dallas (DFW) is another Girls only tournament but this appears to be all 23 Dallas teams in one house.
Lamar Invitational @ Lamar High School in Arlington Texas (DFW) this Tournament is a boys and girls tournament with over 28 teams of each from around the state. A lot of the Prep Schools will be here.
Snakebite Invitational @ Rio Grande City High School in Rio Grande City in the Valley is a boys and girls tournament with all the local teams win the house.
