OK, this is the Preseason Team rankings based solely on top 10 ranked wrestlers per weight. This is simply figured by removing the Seniors from the top 20 rankings of last year, and that was based on State finish, Regional finish, and District finish. No freshman are added, or move-ins. Once wrestling starts back full swing rankings will be updated weekly which will update Team rankings as well. NOTE: The Teams listed with the same ranked wrestlers are not in any particular order
First off 6A boys has a new Team leader in the rankings, will this be the year someone knocks down Allen??? Allen graduated 5 State placers, 2 champions and 3 runner ups bring back only 7 top 10 wrestlers. While El Paso Franklin and Arlington Martin bring back a full crew and split the new #1 Team Rankings with 9 returning top 10 wrestlers each. Allen will have to look at its depth to step up and claim its 10th consecutive Dual State Title in El Paso this season.

The 5A boys have a 3 way split for the top spot. Bryan HS, Dumas HS, and Dripping Springs each share the top spot with 7 ranked wrestlers returning and some All Americans.

The 6A Girls have a lone leader with Coppell returning 6 top 10 wrestlers. Conroe Oak Ridge, Katy Morton Ranch, and Euless Trinity all tie for 2nd with 4 top 10 ranked wrestlers.

Last but not least the 5A Girls have a 3 way tie for the top spot. El Paso Hanks, Ft Worth Chisholm, and Amarillo Caprock each return 5 top 10 wrestlers. 4 teams returned 4 top 10 wrestlers. Any of the top 20 teams could take this division.
