Navarrete, Thomas, and Manibog go Undefeated @ Greco Roman National Duals

With Team Texas wrapping up the Greco Roman Portions in the 14U and 16U duals. Texas is coming away with 3 All Team All Americans in Zayn Navarrete in the 14U and Ayden Thomas and Jeremy Manibog in the 16U division. Navarrete coming off his Southern Plains victory last weekend goes a perfect 8-0 for the 14U Greco Team at the 102lb weight. Whats more impressive is that Navarrete won all his matches by Techfall or pins. The 14U Texas Gold Team giving up a few forfeits per dual finished 21st out of 32 teams total.


Ayden Thomas wrestling at 88lbs for the 16U Texas Red Team went a perfect 7-0 and Jeremy Manibog wrestling at 145 for the same team went a perfect 7-0. Wrestlers going undefeated earn honors as 1st team All Americans.


Benjamin Vogt at 220lb and Jayce Chew at 285lbs both of 16U Texas Team Red went a true 6-1 coming up one loss short of 1st team status. Vogt was perfect on the 2 days until the last match. While Dylan Ota at 77lbs went 7-1 for the 14U team.


16U Team Texas Red finished 20th over all out of 31 teams from 23 states while Team Texas Blue wrestling without a full roster placed 25th over all.

Several wrestlers went the 2 days with only 2 losses. At the 14U you had Charlie Trujillo at 83, Brodie Bedford at 110, Carter Nekvapil at 130, Byson Huber at 136, and Jared Remington at 149/165.


16U 2 loss wrestlers were Kody Tanimoto at 100, Ian Abdallah at 120, Jimmy Benne at 138, Grayson Carpenter at 160, Julian Garnica at 138, Andrew Clayton at 170, and Karson Tompkins at 182.
