National Events This Weekend

2019 Bill Farrell Memorial International Open.

This Friday and Saturday will serve as the first qualifier for the 2020 Olympic Team Trials. All three styles will be competing this weekend at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan, right across from Central Park.

The highest placing athlete who has not yet qualified for OTT will guarantee themselves a slot in State College this April as they try to make an Olympic team.  Only the six Olympic weights being contested.  The mens Freestyle entry list is crazy with talent, almost last 6 years of D1 National champs competing in every weight.

The list includes some Texas Wrestlers. Timothy Johnson-Thompson is in the Greco Division at 77kg.  Maria Vidales and Angelina Gomez are in the Womens Freestyle at 50kg and  Xochitl Mota-Pettis is at 57kg,

 

2019 23rd Annual Kickoff Classic

First leg to the Trinity Award and a qualifier for the World All Star Team and National Youth Rankings.  Lots of Texas Youth will be at this tournament.
