Todays action in Vegas was the Masters Freestyle Division at the 2019 Marine Corps US Open. In the Masters B division @ 88kg we had an all Texas wrestler finals match between Head Coach of Prosper High School Zion King and Head Coach of Wayland Baptist University Aaron Meister where Meister came out with the championship with a 12-2 TF leaving King with 2nd place. King was the only wrestler to score on Meister in his 4 matches wrestled.
In the Masters D division @ 70kg NB Elite’s and USA Texas Freestyle and Greco Roman director Steve Horton started out slow with 6-4, and 6-0 decisions before getting the tech-fall 10-0 in the finals match taking 1st place.
Other placers from Texas were Ben Sanchez placed 2nd from Wayland Baptist @ 70kg Masters A. Ryan Bascue of Spartin Mat Club placed 3rd @ 100kg Masters A.
