Seth Duckworth
Lubbock is the defending district champion and return ten regional qualifiers, including 2x finalist and undefeated state champion Zach Casias (64-8 overall) and state qualifier Mohagany Casel.
Coach Richard Leal is excited about the direction of his program.
“I’m excited about the direction our program has been moving towards the last three years, and we expect to be in the conversation for a top-five finish. We want another district title and top-three finish at regionals, and I think we have the competitors to do it. We have several seniors that are looking to cement their high school careers on a solid note and establish Lubbock High as one of the best programs in the state. The culture they have created is something really awesome to be a part of, and we are excited about this year.”
