Alex Liles from Allen Texas traveled to Japan this week too compete with USA Womens Wrestling Team at the Yoshida Saori Cup wrestling tournament. Tournament is named after one of the most decorated female wrestlers in the world Saori Yoshida.
Liles won her 1st match 10-0 against Mongolia, quarters match against Cadet World Silver Medalist Japan 4-0, semi finals match with a 58 sec fall against Canada, and the finals mach 9-2 against another Mongolian wrestler.
Samara Chavez a freshman with Arlington Martin also made the trip but didnt place.
