Joseph Hendershot out of Woodlands College Park has been named the 2021-22 Dan Hodge Foundation scholarship winner.
Hendershot wrestled for Woodlands College Park this past season and finished in sixth place at 152 at the 6A state tournament. He’s currently a freshman at Texas Wesleyan and is projected to compete at 157.
The Dan Hodge Foundation has been created by the Hodge family to carry on his legacy. Danny Hodge was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. The wrestling community provided support and love to Hodge throughout his career that was cherished. This is a way to continue the legacy and give back to the wrestling community, for all generations past, present and future.
The scholarship is awarded to a graduated high school senior pursuing a college career in wrestling.
