Seth Duckworth
Haltom High School has thirteen returning varsity wrestlers, a dozen contested weight classes, and a crowded room full of multi-sport athletes. The boys’ team is coming off of one of its best seasons in program history, and the girl’s team has finished in the top ten of the UIL state meet each of the last three seasons.

Coaching Staff:
Head Boys Coach Beau Hohmann enters his 7th season with the Buffalos. Prior to Haltom, Coach Hohmann coached at Fort Worth Arlington Heights, Southlake Carroll, and South Grand Prairie (as a volunteer/club coach). Coach Hohmann wrestled under Mike Eaton and Jerry Best at South Grand Prairie in the early 2000s. He wrestled in college (NAIA/NCWA) under Brian Jackson and Shawn Wilson.
Head Girls Coach Anthony Kuharski comes to Haltom from Austin ISD, where he has served as an assistant at Austin Bowie and McNeil alongside Huey Huynh, and most recently as the head coach at Austin Crockett. Coach ¨TK¨ has coached athletes to state tournament berths each of his last seven seasons in Austin ISD. He grew up wrestling in Minnesota and attended the University of Minnesota before enlisting the Army, where he also wrestled. Coach TK brings a load of experience, and the Buffalos are lucky to have him on board for the 2021-22 season.
Assistant Coach Cody Holbrook just made the jump from coaching middle school to 6A Varsity football this year. He has been active on the mat with the team throughout summer workouts and continues to add tools to his belt. He is fired up to be on staff, and will no doubt have an impact on our group this year.
Assistant Coach Michael Long comes to us from Fossil Ridge HS with over 20 years of coaching experience. Coach Long worked alongside Matt Criner at SGP beginning in 2007 and loves the sport of wrestling. He currently coaches the offensive line for the Buffs and will be joining the herd when the football season culminates this fall.
